Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SOC reports are particularly important for technology providers that handle sensitive data or provide compliance-related services.
- SOC2 Type 1 verifies that necessary cybersecurity controls exist and are appropriately designed to meet standardized criteria
- SOC2 Type 2 assesses the operating effectiveness of those controls
Paired with Command Alkon’s adherence to NIST SP 800-171, these SOC certifications further validates our commitment to protect our customers’ data in the cloud.
Why do we look for these certifications? Without 3rd-party validation, there is no credibility. Thoroughly following voluntary industry best practices, such as those found in NIST guidelines, is only a component to our overall security strategies. Meanwhile, our SOC2 compliance drives our established security processes, which have become ingrained in our company culture.
